~ THINGS TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE CHOOSING YOUR WEDDING STATIONERY ~

Number Crunching
How many guests will be attending? It's surprising how many couples overlook this important factor -
as without having an idea of quantities an accurate stationery quote cannot be given.
Don't forget that a guest list of 100 does not necessarily mean you will need 100 invites - the majority of guests will
usually be couples so you may only need 60 or 70. But don't forget to include a few extras for those you may have forgotten!

Size does matter!
If you are on a tight budget, a DL size invitation (3rd of an A4 sheet of paper) will suit you to a tea!
Not only is this size more economic to print, but postage is cheaper too (standard 50c stamp).

Dream of a theme
Does your wedding have a theme? Tropical beach, classic vineyard, romantic garden, rustic farm, traditional church...
all these themes can be reflected in your wedding stationery. Remember, your invitations should entice guests
and set the scene for your wedding and themes can be carried through from invitations to menus to thank you cards.
Some couples use colours based on what the bridal party are wearing, others feature the colour of & type of flowers
in their bouquet, while others draw inspiration from the location of their wedding or an object or theme that is
meaningful to them as a couple.

~ OTHER TIPS ~

- Don't leave it too late! You should start thinking about your wedding stationery around 6 months before
the big day, aiming for delivery 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding.

- 12 months or so before your wedding, send out Save the Date cards or magnets to let people know of your
upcoming event. This will be especially useful for those guests who must travel long distances to join you.

- Don't spoil your invitations with messy handwritten names! Employ a calligrapher for a professional
result and to convey the importance and personal meaning of the occasion.
Alternatively, ask for names to be printed directly onto invitations.

- Use magnets on the back of your invitations so guests can stick them straight onto the fridge.

- Hand deliver invitations where possible. Take a stroll with your partner and personally deliver all the
invitations in your area - it can save you money and also provide you with some exercise!

- If your invitations feature embellishments, ask for them to be hand sorted by the post office.
This ensures they won't get crushed or damaged by sorting machines.
